The months after Wyoming.

I have been home in Smithfield since the end of September. Now I am living with my parents. I have been living back with my parents for three months and that is the longest I have lived with my parents since I moved out in January 2008. It has been ok living with my parents. It certainly is a new adventure that I may not necessarily like right now but it is still an adventure that is going on in my life. I was planning on going back to Wyoming for the winter to work at Flagg Ranch but that fell through. So that means I am here in Utah (Smithfield) trying to find a job here and trying to figure out what I am suppose to do with my future. I am thinking about going into Culinary Arts at Bridgerland Applied Technology College in Logan. Or maybe being a Vet Assistant/Tech. Oh the decisions I have to make. All leading me down a different road and adventure. I have had several interviews but none of them had panned out. I had an interview yesterday at the Specialty Hospital Deli. I am really hoping that I get this job but if not then I will have to figure something else out. My life is on its own adventure right now and I just don't know exactly where it is taking me. All of the other adventures I have been on in my life I have known where those adventures have taken me. Where this adventure is taking me, I have no clue. But when it ends I hope that it turns out for the better and I have learned what I am suppose to learn.

Yellowstone

There is an inside joke between me, Megan, and Becca where we ask eachother how our butts look like and so we thought it would be funny if we did that by the Yellowstone sign. It was a good start to our adventure of Yellowstone.

Our first stop was at Old Faithful Geyser. We arrived just in time too. We arrived about 20 minutes before the geyser errupted. I was behind Megan and Becca watching it go off and I thought that this was an oppurtune time to take this picture.

It was a fun day for us to go to Yellowstone. The day ended up being beautiful... Not a cloud in sight. It was definitely an adventure of learning, other sides of people, and about Yellowstone. We are going back again when there isn't as much snow so then we could explore Yellowstone much more.

Colter Bay Village

I have been here at Colter Bay since Sunday afternoon. I was one of the few people who checked into the dorms that day. Since then people are slowly trinkling in. My friend Rebecca from last year arrived on monday. It was nice to actually have a friend here at the beginning of the season who I know that I can have a lot of fun with, especially when it comes to stocking the grocery store. The weather has been good. Most of the days it has been blue skys and partly cloudy but it is still cold here. It is the middle of May and in Wyoming there is still snow. Here at the dorms in some areas the snow is several feeet tall but in other areas just a few inches. The lake is frozen but is starting to melt slowly. I feel like this year here working at Colter Bay will be a good season. When I got here on sunday I didn't feel regret like I did when I arrived last season. Last season was fun but sometimes there was a feeling of regret. I don't feel that this year. I love Wyoming, and Colter Bay. If I could and really wanted to I would keep coming back and working here every summer. I get a peaceful feeling whenever I am here. My well of water had drained out really fast during the winter and now that I am here, I will be able to fill my well to overflowing(my mom would understand that). I am on my new adventure for the next four months and I am ready for it.

The Tulip Festival Part 2

The Tulip Festival

Yesterday I was in American Fork visiting my sister and her family, and my parents and Elena were there as well. Not very far away at Thanksgiving Point they were having The Tulip Festival. We had decided that we would go to The Tulip Festival. It was absolutely beautiful. I am glad that I was able to go to Thanksgiving Point with mom, dad, and Elena. I didn't realize that Thanksgiving Point had so much land to have gardens like they did. When we got there, we thought that we should have brought Matayia and Kaitlin because they would have loved seeing the tulips, feeding the fish, and maybe even the Secret Garden as well. There were several different colors, and variety of tulips. Absolutely wonderful. More pictures to come.

Hogle Zoo Adventure

A few months ago I had told my friend Jamie that I wanted to go to Hogle Zoo. It had been several years since I had been to the Hogle Zoo. Jamie and I had decided that we would spend the night in Salt Lake City and then go to Hogle Zoo the next day. It was a last get together before I head up to Wyoming. To be honest I am not planning on ever moving back down to Ephraim ever again. I might come and visit Tracie and Travis but that would be the only times I would be in Ephraim. But back to the adventure of Hogle Zoo. So Jamie and I had left on Tuesday and we did some shopping at some DIs and thrift stores. The hotel that we stayed at was in Sugar House. It was pretty. There was a river running behind it and there were two ducks by the hotel room. We were able to go to the movie theater and watch Soul Surfer which was so good. Parts of it made me cry. The next day we finally made up to Hogle Zoo but it had taken us awhile to get there because we got lost at the U of U campus because we made a wrong turn or the directions we got were a little misleading. Spending a few hours at Hogle Zoo was a lot of fun. There were a lot of elementary school age kids there on a field trip and it was fun watching them and hearing the conversations they were having. It was fun seeing the animals and taking pictures. There were elephants, rhinos, tigers, a leopard, and monkeys, plus many other animals as well. The one giraffe that was out was 14 ft tall and I didn't get to see the blue tongue. But I did get to see 2 wolves playing with eachother.

No man can walk out of his own story.

A week ago I went and saw the movie Rango. There was a line in the movie that was said that made me really think. It is "No man can walk out of his own story." That line has gotten me really thinking. We are all living a story and we can determine how that story turns out. Not once can we walk out of that story. Every choice that we make or have made helps determine where the story goes. Each person helps play a part in your story while they are leading their story. If you don't like how the story is going, you can't walk out of it. You need to see how the story ends and figure out how to see the story ends. That is the adventure of life and the story. It is the anticipation of what it will turn out to be like.

Angels and Airwaves - The Adventure

Here I am, My life is waiting to begin

Here I am in Ephraim Utah. To me my life is waiting for a new adventure. It is like my life is waiting to begin. In the future I will probably realize that what I have been doing the last couple of months and the next few months has been an adventure. But right now here I am, waiting for my life to begin. Life is an adventure in itself. My adventure right now is rather boring. I had always thought an adventure is suppose to be fun and exciting and that I need to be traveling or something spectacular. Here I am, waiting for my life to begin. It will begin eventually or it has already begun and I just hasn't realized it yet. Right now I am living in Ephraim Utah. I am working with two people who have disabilities. It is an adventure every time I work with them but when I am not at work my life sure doesn't seem like it is an adventure. I do know that when I am up in Wyoming when I am working and when I am not at work my life will be an adventure. Here I am, waiting for my life to begin.

The adventure that I want to do in my future.

There are so many places to go see and would be a good adventure. I have traveled to Russia and to several countries in Europe. Since I have gone to Russia in 2004 I have always wanted to do some more traveling. I want to experience what it is like to live in a new place. I want to keep traveling. I want a new adventure. Some of the new adventures that I want to do before I die or get married: 1: Volunteer in Romania. 2: Go backpacking across Europe. 3: Go to Ireland and Scotland 4: Go on a cruise to anywhere (maybe to Greece). 5: Do a cross country trip and visit all 50 states. 6: Disappear for a few weeks and truly find myself. 7: Visit Venice Italy again. 8: Go to Africa. 9: Visit Jerusalem and the places where Jesus walked. 10: Live my life to the fullest.

These are just a few things I would like to do. I think that they would be good and fun adventures. They are something worth while and maybe I would be able to really find myself on those adventures. I don't know if I would ever do anything on this list but they are something I would like to do and they would be a good adventure. I don't want to regret anything in my life. I want to live my life to the fullest and to have as many adventures as possible. I am sure in the future the list I just gave will change as my life changes. That is the thing... whatever I decide to do a new adventure will show up.
